Privacy

Short version: we collect only what a mixtape club needs to work, we don't sell it, and you can ask us to delete it any time at hello@mymixtapeclub.com.

What we collect

• Hosts: your email address and a PIN, to create your account and let you sign in. Your PIN is handled by our sign-in provider and is not readable by us.
• Members: the name you join with and a club PIN. Club PINs are stored as a one-way hash, so nobody, including us, can read them.
• Optional email: if you give a member email, we use it to send reminders for your club: the day before each deadline, on drop day, and on reveal day. Every reminder has a link to stop them. Only if you tick "Also send me news" will we use it for anything else. Other members and your host never see it.
• Your tape and mix: song titles, artists, YouTube links, liner notes and the songs you pick. Other members of your club see these once they're opened.
• Club details: the club name, theme, seats, dates and invite link.

Who can see it

Only people with a club's invite link can join it, and members see what the club shows them. A tape stays hidden from the club until the host's drop day. We don't sell your information and we don't show ads.

Services we use

• Vercel hosts the website and counts visits (see "Visit counts" below).
• Supabase stores the data and handles host sign-in.
• Resend delivers account and reminder emails.
• YouTube plays songs inside the page. When you press play on a song, YouTube may collect data under its own policy. We don't store any music.

Cookies and storage

We store a sign-in session and your draft club details in your browser so the site works. We don't use advertising or tracking cookies. The page fonts are served from our own site, so visiting doesn't send your address to Google.

Visit counts

We use Vercel Web Analytics to see how many people visit and which pages they use, so we can improve the site. It doesn't use cookies and doesn't follow you around the web. The address it records leaves off everything after a question mark or a hash mark, so invite codes and sign-in links are never included. It doesn't record your name, email or anything you write, and the unsubscribe page isn't measured at all.

Your choices

Email hello@mymixtapeclub.com to see, correct or delete your information, remove yourself from a club, or stop reminder emails.

How long we keep it

We keep a club until it is deleted. Ask us to remove yourself or a whole club and we will, by email at hello@mymixtapeclub.com.

Security

Club PINs are stored as one-way hashes. Connections are encrypted. A tape is hidden from everyone else, including your host, until the drop. If you find a security problem, please tell us at hello@mymixtapeclub.com.

Changes

If this changes in a way that matters, we'll update the date at the top.
